ABOUT ME
I was born in Milwaukee, WI and at the age of ten, I discovered the art of Vincent van Gogh. It is because of that visual experience that I decided to become an artist. Also at this time, my parents gifted me my first camera and my passion for photography was born. No other labor has impassioned me as strongly as
art & architecture.
Having been educated in the technical art of architecture and design, my artistic eye in photography was developed from that background. In 2007 I became a member of Professional Photographers of America.
WHAT I'VE DONE
I've been a professional photographer for over 30 years. My career as a photographer began in Chicago where I photographed young models who were starting their careers. After relocating to New York City and studying photography and interior design at Pratt Institute, I worked at many high volume studios before I founded VISIONSTAR PICTURES in 1995 as my bottega for producing artistic glamour photography. I've operated studios in Freeport, Long Island and Syracuse, NY as well as in Santa Ana, CA.
WHAT I DO
When I see art, I hear poetry, then I'm compelled to capture that beauty in an image.
As an artist photographer, I use a Zen approach with a Da Vincian spirit in my photography. Through my photography you may be able to transcend the boundaries and deeply see someone or something with your heart and mind and bring meaning to it. My images are created to help you move from looking to seeing. To see deeply takes time and is the next level of perception.
Leonardo Da Vinci said,
"People look without seeing."
When I look,
I seek to know more.
